THE LAW OF ASSOCIATION

THE LAW OF ASSOCIATION
T
he law of association states that; you become exactly like those with whom you spend time. Tell me your personal friend and I can predict with a higher probability your possible end.  Sometimes, friends who are going nowhere want people to go with them, however when you follow a man going nowhere you end up nowhere. Birds of a feathers flock together, therefore friends with similar vision should move together. Great friends are not coincidentally met, they are consciously made.
Sergey Brin met Larry Page when he was assigned to show Larry around campus in Stanford University. Upon the realization and the recognition of a common passion and similar dreams; he made Larry his partner in his Vision. Guess what? This association led to the advent of the most popular search engine of our time, GOOGLE. And to a very large extent, they now are billionaires and most importantly world changers because of the prudent and strategic association. Your Association today has a say in your future destination.
No achievement in life is without the collective efforts, motivation or contribution of our immediate associations.
This law of association was at work when Jesus Christ during the time of his departure from this earth promised not to leave us alone but then he would send us a helper [the Holy Spirit]. In fact he is the greatest association that man can ever have.
John 14:16
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever — AMP

Therefore your immediate associations affect your ultimate position in life. To progress, create association with like-mindedness, people with the same velocity of action, equal or more fervor of devotion and an equivalent fire of determination. Associations like these are called success convoys; Convoys because they will drive along with you on the road to success.
Great associations are not merely chosen; they are carefully created.  You should never leave your association at the mercy of those you associate with; you should decide who you associate with.
DISASSOCIATE; these individuals are harmful to your dreams. These associations are those who consistently and consciously discourage, disrespect and disregard your potential. Their usual insults and assaults against you can result in abortion; abortion of your dreams.  This year you must disassociate from such people! If they don’t value you, then they don’t deserve your most valuable asset, time.
LIMIT ASSOCIATION; these are neither too harmful nor too helpful to your dreams. These are often the familiar people in your life; family, childhood friends, old school mates, church members and neighbors etc. If familiar people in your life don’t motivate and elevate you to maximize your potentials, or they don’t understand your vision and appreciate your abilities, you must limit your associations with them. Time is too expensive for you to spend it with those who will not help lift you up.
EXPAND ASSOCIATION; there are certain people whom God directed into your life because of your vision. They are helpful to the dreams in your heart. They constructively criticize and complement you there is a surging of energy within to help achieve your dreams. He might even be the man on TV or the book you read; you must give them more of your time.
Association is like a storm, either it destroys your dream or it creates a current for it to soar higher. Your association today matters!

#Thinking out Loud (T.O.L)

That feeling when all expectations are foiled.
That sensation when you realize time and efforts have been wasted
That's how it's gonna be and even more when enfin all the life you lived on the surface of this terrestrial ball met not your purpose.
Yeah, such poignancy your heart will echo throughout your whole anatomy.
When you realize all the passion you had was not meant for what you thought.
Oohkk..let's check the the other side of the coin. When purposes are fulfilled, visions and goals realized, when assignments are accomplished all in His will and what you hear is "well-done son"
I can imagine you grinning from ear to ear.
Oh yeah, the Rolex may be yours but not the time. Time is of essence. Every second counts, Usain Bolt bears witness with me on this. All I'm trying to say is there's actually a reason for our living.Have we wondered why we came into this world at this particular time? Why not maybe a hundred years ago. That means there's actually got to be a reason for that, which is our duty to find out.God wanted us to be relevant to this generation and beyond. Inside everyone of us is that avidity and craving to become relevant. Why is it so? Because we are made with a value. Jesus paid that dear price for us. You know your value of what is paid for you. So people are trying to find that relevance in the wrong ways and in the wrong places because of this 'dream' to become somebody. We trying hard by ourselves to get it. Why don't we for a moment stop, just stop in our tracks and ask...Oo God,why was I made?, then at once we can find out whether we on the right route or we journeying on someone's tracks. You know the success of every product is in the fulfillment of the purpose for which it was made. So why don't you dive into the Manufacturer's Manual(THE BIBLE) and get more information about product YOU.Keep diving deeper to maximize product efficiency and effectiveness!!

THE VOID HE PLACED IN US.

Everyone knew it was a Loyiso Bala gospel CD and DVD launch, but it still sounded odd to hear him greet everyone “in the name of our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ”.
He probably saw the uncertainty in his audience and cracked a joke about it.
“Yes, you need to get used to me greeting you like this
from now on,” he said chuckling.

The whole room was filled with laughter, but the audience still looked a bit confused about seeing Loyiso on a Christian podium.
Of course, he has done several celestial songs with his brothers, but his latest all-gospel project marks a new turning point for the man who the media once
referred to as the “King of R&B”.

People wondered what motivated this move. They also must have wondered if this was a permanent move.
But Loyiso is no fool, and for every curious mind, he had a genuine answer.
“When I turned 30, I looked back on my career and I realised that I had four successful albums,” he enthused.
“I had proved myself time and time again. At that time I had five songs in the top 100, probably more than any secular artist has had,” he shared.
“I had received five Samas and had tons of awards from You magazine’s Sexiest to GQ’s Most Stylish, to Men’s Health’s Man of the Year. I had sung in eight
Miss SAs. I had been to every J&B Met, to every Durban July.
“I sang in front of Will Smith, Oprah and Sir Richard
Branson. I literally could have looked back and said that I have done it and basked in my glory, so to say,” he reflected.

But with all the success and the world being his oyster, Loyiso still felt a void in his life.
“Funny enough, when I had the most in my life, I felt
the emptiest. I felt emptier then than when I didn’t
have anything,” he said.
Looking back to find out what he was really missing,
Loyiso believed the big hole he felt was as a result of the spiritual aspect of his life.
“The only thing that disconnects me from my talent is the spiritual aspect. Right there and then I decided I
was going to go and find it. I enrolled at the Rhema Bible School and took a course called Heart of Worship,” he said.

To make it in that class, he had to quickly get over the fact that he was a 30-year-old in the midst of teenagers. He also had to let go of his celebrity status
and try to be as “equal” to the other students as possible.
“I learnt about worship and that we are all supposed to worship something. Every single person has a void
that needs to be filled with worship, and I realised I
had to serve God.

Over the years my friends and I took risks and I only made it through God’s grace,” he said.
He alludes that grace was a catalyst that inspired his interest in making gospel music.
“I didn’t want to make gospel music, but I felt compelled to as my relationship with God improved. I started gaining interest in it and boom, that is how
Love Complete was born,” he said.
The Love Complete CD and DVD compilation has 17 interesting cuts as Loyiso’s take on the benefits of being in a relationship with God.
Though he wrote the bulk of the material, he also handpicked a few unknown singers who have also
sung extensively on this project.

“The funny thing is at the time that I made this decision, I had to let go an opportunity to record with a US producer. For years I had been trying to get a US deal and when this particular guy came through it was
a big deal for me.
“He produced Jason Derulo, and all he needed was R400 000. But when I was in Scotland, with the Bala Brothers, I decided I wanted to make a gospel album.
“As I decided that, literally the following day, my manager called to say there was a guy in Kenya who was willing to pay for my trip to the US to record and I
turned it down. I knew that my heart was not in it anymore,” he said.

“I found greater purpose in doing Love Complete than go out there to be another stat,” he said.
He believes that this album is his way of giving back hope to the people around him. He feels it is much better than talking of bling and other material things.
This is perhaps a great career move for him because his fans are responding positively to the new path he has chosen.
“The music has remained the same but the message has changed. Those who are not into the message can
still enjoy the music,” he said.

But there is nothing really surprising about Loyiso’s drastic change of tune.
When he started his R&B career, not many people believed that he would get far as the genre was not
popular locally. But he insisted on it and did well for himself.
This new chapter of his life will see him test new territories and most likely prevail.
“This is my own brand of gospel and there is nothing
like it in the country. It is 100 percent me.”
